Had a great experience at Sandbox VR, the experience was incredibly unique and our entire party had a great time. We had a party of six on a Friday night, and the place was pretty busy. The staff was incredible, they were on top of everything going on in each of the rooms; they were informative and very patient with us as they got us set up with our game. Unfortunately one of out VR sets started to malfunction mid-game, but the staff was very responsive and did everything they could to ensure that we had the best experience that we could despite our technical difficulties. Overall, the staff was helpful and responsive and the VR gaming experience was thrilling. We look forward to coming again. Would highly recommend for groups and families.

I participated in the VR experience at sandbox in San Diego it was my first time experiencing this type of a VR game. It was a lot of fun! They had at least three or four different game options and I really appreciated the fact that although I wear glasses they had prescription lenses that they could put inside the VR experience and I have very bad eyesight and they had up to I believe a -8 for corrective lenses which was completely perfect for experiencing the game and having a blast without feeling hindered by glasses. The attendance and hosts of the games were not only informative and helpful but they were also very engaging and friendly the check in process was super easy with the individual kiosks at the front of the center. After the VR experience we got to sit down and watch our experience which they include a video of you battling and completing the task as a part of your $50 per person fee. I definitely think it’s worth it you get about 25 minutes of experience and the games are really fun and engaging and it’s a fun way to be active. It definitely seems fun for teens and adults. I went with just a team of two and I wasn’t sure if that would be enough but it was definitely plenty I believe they can hold up to about like a team of eight people so a great idea for Parties and you also get that keepsake video. It’s in the mall shopping center in San Diego so if you go see a Marvel movie and then go play this game it makes for really feeling like a superhero. I highly recommend the VR sandbox experience!

lost my voice from screaming … we got to see virtual earth from space… couldnt ask for more 💚 Update : 5/10 Came back for mother’s day and I was so excited to share the experience with my daughters. VERY bummed that their jackets both had dead batteries and didn’t vibrate. I asked if I could switch jackets with my youngest to give her the full experience and was declined because data had already been “input”. it was still a nice time but it was a total bummer that the girls didn’t get the value or experience to the fullest. had to take back a star ⭐️ .

This was our first VR experience and it was AMAZING! We had Jay and she was such a professional!! She was patient with my 11 year old and even stopped to help her a few times with her gear, because she noticed it was slipping. Great fun and tons of laughs!! We’re definitely returning for another experience!!

What's the age group? Is it good for 5 yr olds?

I would recommend ages 10 and up. There is a lot of heavy equipment you need to wear for the experience that may not be suitable for a 5 year old.
