I’ve adopted 3 greyhounds over the years from GAC. Their business is awesome and so sad to see them closing down.

This is an incredible piece of property that is going to be up for sale. It's a kennel property with large runs for the dogs and an area for an agility field as well as a run-free field. A perfect opportunity for someone that wants to start a doggie daycare/kennel. It's an opportunity to have a training center with membership for agility Plus a membership for the run free field. Additionally the property is large enough to have a one ring dog trial or other dog events.

I've adopted 3 greyhounds from GAC! They are amazing! There is a screening process, and a home visit, and they really want to adopt the greyhounds to great homes and people. Some people don't make the cut, and that could result in some of these negative reviews, but GAC has the greyhounds' best interest in mind. Other local groups have many returns or are quick to adopt before free of parasites, and that is hard on the dog and other unaware dog owners out in public. GAC tries to find forever homes for their dogs. Staff and volunteers are amazing! Greyhounds are amazing, too!

I've adopted 2 dogs from GCA over the years. The center gives these dogs a second chance at life. The facility is very clean and the staff and volunteers take excellent care of the dogs while they wait for adoption.

Greyhounds are like couch potatoes. Some are snugglers and want to be next to you, some like their own designated bed area. So I guess an area large enough for a large size dog bed would be a more precise answer. From previous experience, a good afternoon walk would be enough to send them off to sleep for a few hours. A good play would tucker them out for half a day. However, every animal is different and has their own unique personality.
Your yard will be fine. We live in a townhouse with two greyhounds. They sleep 18 hours a day. We walk them three times a day for 10-15 minutes at a time. By the way...we're 73 and 72.
No. GAC handles full-sized greyhounds, the vast majority of which are ex-racers.
