Had the broasted fish special on a Friday night. It was delicious! Salad bar is excellent. The atmosphere is a little hectic. We will be going back. This place also has an excellent catering service.

It is one of our favorite places to go usually...we went there tonight for our anniversary... VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Got there saw there was no salad bar..#1 reason we go there..waitress told us salad bar was just the weekends...quite rudely I might add...so we were " let's just get the broasted chicken" ...then we were told " only the left side of the menu".. we paid for our 1 drink nd left. We love sizzling J's..so we will go back, but tonight was a huge disappointment!

Billy Boyz Food Review #2. So tonight we adventured down to Galva. And had the chance to done at Sizzlin J's. And tonight on the menu was sandwiches and wings. I ordered the Philly brisket sandwich and fries. And I ordered some honey bq wings. And I love chicken and the wings were so delightful to eat and taste. And Troy has homemade barbecue sauce for 5 dollars per jar. And it is worth it. Yummy! And Tami ordered mushroom and Swiss burger and some mushrooms. By the way never did get to taste the mushrooms. It took about 20 minutes to get our food. Plus i got the chance to drink 1919 root beer and it was so good. So the food comes and I look at my sandwich and think wow how am gonna eat all of this. Well rest assured I got half way down and said to myself im done. I got 6 wings down the hatch and knew way to much food. Troy opened this restaurant and bar back in 2014. And he caters and does an excellent job with this and serving the public. My first impression of Troy is a cool dude and knows how to cook food. My first impression of his place is very clean and roomy. With televisions and the best salad bar you could want. If you are gonna eat at Sizzlin J's bring your damn appetite with you and your mask. It is required. But that's ok with me. Ok so would I go back anytime soon? Heck yes buttercup! Over and over again. Make sure to ask for 1919 root beer and order of wings and mushrooms. Tami told me she thought it was very good food and enjoyed her meal. I ended up ordering brisket and smoked turkey for Thanksgiving and found out way to much food. But hey better to have enough than not enough. I come from big family we ate alot and needed alot of food to feed all of us. I want you to take the time and take the drive to Galva and go see Troy and the gang at Sizzlin J's! Damn good food and damn good service. And it's easy to walk out stuffed and knowing this place is a must in northwest Iowa. Hats off to Sizzlin J's for great food and great service that is served in small town Iowa. The cost is generous and well worth of walking out stuffed ready for a nap or bed. Take the kids the menu is awesome for us all adults and children. Thanks Troy for the good food and great place to eat in northwest Iowa. Keep up the good work and I look forward to trying more food on the menu. And oh yes the 1919 root beer. Sizzlin J's Galva Iowa it's worth your time and the trip to small town Galva. Like I always say God is good God is great let us thank him for this food.
