I am a picky eater. The first time I visited I thought the hot dog menu looked kinda weird. I asked the owner for the most popular item, it was definitely not something I would have picked. I was amazed. The combination of flavors was mind blowing. The owner is extremely friendly and knows his stuff. I make sure to stop in for lunch every time I'm in the area.

First time here tonight and took the recommendation from the owner and he was spot on for the 3 of us. We all enjoyed are hot dogs. The spicy pickle side dish was superb with the right amount of spice. Had the pleasure to eat outside tonight with some good music playing and chat with the owner more.

Summed up in one phrase: an excellent holistic experience. The food was amazing, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was fun. The personal touch from the staff and chef made our group feel very connected to the restaurant. It was our first time and they made the perfect suggestions for food and drink. If you’re in Chan, you have to give it a try.

Stopped in after doing some chores and it was by far the best decision I've made in 2020. The short of it is that the food is incredible, the price is a steal, and the customer service is great. The long to follow. Somehow this fine establishment escaped my notice, but thankfully during a Cub run we saw them. Stopped, asked what they recommend and I went with it. My wife is a little bit less adventurous than I so they said they could make it anyway she wanted. Thankfully she decided to jump out of her comfort zone. We ended up with a Mutt and a beef hotdog both I'm the Dog House style. Just amazing. The flavors are great, the crunch of the onions and peppers are wonderful and the sweet and heat from the BBQ sauce and habenero were right up my alley. Additionally we got a poutine and a blue Hawaiian slushi. Both were great. The poutine isn't a classic poutine, but a really nice spin. Small golden yellow steamed potatoes with chilli lime sauce, havarti, cheddar, gravy, and cilantro to name a few of the flavors I got. Very good and plenty different to make it worth a try. The blue Hawaiian slushi was also great, it reminded me of a pina colada. All in all it was a fantastic experience and the price for the amount of food and the quality was really quite astonishing. I cannot wait to go back. Chanhassen is very lucky to have so many dining options, and Dog House is now certainly a personal favorite.
