i went to Eggy’s Diner during the NCAA women’s final 4 weekend for the 1st time. I ordered a side of grits with cheese and they were COLD legit felt like they came out of the fridge. I also ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken was COLD as if it was pre made just waiting for pick up … i didn’t even touch the waffle i just threw the entire meal away. worst food experience i’ve ever had & the waitress didn’t even offer to take the food off of the bill seeing that i didn’t eat any of it.

Excellent place for breakfast! Very convenient! However, it is VERY BUSY! Especially during the weekend! Be prepared to wait....having said that, the food is terrific but, if it's really busy it's oftentimes overdone. That's not the norm throughout the day though, just during the morning rush. So, if you don't like really crispy bacon, make sure you specify that when you order.....

Meh. The food was edible, sure, but certainly not worth going out of your way for. The Breakfast Poutine was very disappointing. I’d be willing to bet the fries were of the pre-frozen variety, and the cheese curds were actually very large fried cheese cubes. Now where on the menu does it say the “curds” are fried, and the cheese curds on poutine shouldn’t be fried! The grand total of six cheese cubes was insufficient. They cannot be classified as cheese curds and the dish can barely be classified as poutine. The Creamy Fruit French Toast was good, but the addition of what can only be described as some sort of berry mush certainly wouldn’t be missed.

This has always been one of my favorite breakfast places. The food is always amazing. My husband and I even used Eggy’s catering for a post wedding brunch. They were so helpful, prompt, and accommodating. There was so much food and it was so delicious. Our guests loved it and it was perfect for a post hangover meal. I highly recommend Eggy’s to anyone looking for a tasty breakfast spot with family or friends or if you are looking to feed a small hoard of hungry people. Either way no one will be left disappointed.

Questions & Answers

Can you offer regular normal eggs benedict with hashbrowns in addition to your weird experiments? None of them taste good and you need to reevaluate the hollandaise sauce.

I doubt it. Breakfast and lunch only, and pretty casual, but a cut above standard diner fare.

Currently, we are restricted to To Go ordering, or delivery through Uber Eats, Door Dash, or Grub Hub. The restaurant is small, so we abide pretty strictly to the limit of 5 people in the restaurant at a time. All guests of the restaurant must wear a mask to enter, and we encourage people to stand 6 feet apart from each other, as much as they can. Employees operate in areas separate of our guests, thereby limiting contact. Payment is requested ahead of time, to also limit any contact between guests and staff. All employees are required to wear masks and are typically stationed at least 6 feet from each other. Their temperatures are taken daily, as is an assessment of possible COVID symptoms. Employees who may be sick (with any ailment) are asked to stay home from work. During the shift, all surfaces are disinfected and sanitized at least every 30 minutes. All in all, we try to adhere to the policies and guidelines issued by the Minnesota Department of Health.
