This teahouse is an absolute treasure. The entire ambiance is wholesome, inviting, healing and gorgeous. To me.. it's like walking into a realm of enchantment where all of the undesirable parts of the day melt away. My favorite place to bring new friends for tea or sit by myself and focus on the things that inspire me. I even felt ignited to write a poem while there one time...which mostly occurs for me when I'm alone...so this place is special to provide such a clear environment for inspiration. The deco is fantastic and each object seems to be thoughtfully placed or thoughtfully named and I'm leaving those details to the mystery for you to experience yourself. Quality puerhs (yes!!!!) and beautiful teaware with unique driftwood handles can be found illuminated upon moss beds. Also...my favorite oolong ever is there-- Heart of the Mountain ;) It's happiness in a cup. If you get a chance to experience the garden in the warmer months...it's nothing less than a sanctuary.

This spot cultivates such a sweet evening experience! Those who serve tea here are well versed in knowledge of each tea and its origins, and you can purchase any of the teas to take home! We came on a Friday night during the SpeakTeasy and enjoyed sweet conversation, delicious tea, and tasty buns (a mushroom bun and a lotus bun). I would definitely recommend this spot to any tea enthusiast, group of friends seeking a sweet evening together, or any individual looking for authentic connection in a warm setting.

It’s an old school tea house, and not old school like grandma’s senior year of high school, either. This “old school” I’m referring to is circa Qin Dynasty era. Yes, tea as how the original tea people envisioned it: enjoyed in a community style home, with an almost brooding, yet warm, meditative atmosphere. All I will say is that you need to visit Enthea and see for yourself why this place is consistently rated five stars.

An absolute Portland treasure. Quality and rare tea selection you can’t find elsewhere and a hub for community. One of my favorite spots!

Thanks for asking. Right now, during the “extreme risk” red zone that Multinomah Co is in for winter pandemic protocols, we are offering to-go and limited outdoor seating for menu based services. We ask all guests to have face protection while entering and exiting our establishment. Masks may be stowed while drinking tea or eating food ordered from our snack menu at our established tables. Social distancing is observed for all separate visiting guest groups. As the current ‘extreme risk’ protocols lessen we will still observe mask use and social distancing when indoor tea service resumes at that time. Hope this helps.
