I went there for what they call a paddle party, which is really like a quarter action, except the bid for an item does not go up. You put a chip in a container to bid, each chip is .25 Vendors explain what's in their baskets, each basket is worth at least $35.00 if you want to bid on it put 1 chip in the container for each "paddle" you purchased. Paddles are $5.00 for the first one and usually $3.00 for each additional paddle you purchase. Chips are $5.00 per bag, these items are purchased at the door. Don't worry, you can buy extras as the bidding goes on. There are 3 rounds, with vendors explaining what's in their baskets. There are usually 20-30 vendors. The 2nd round all proceeds go to whatever charity is sponsors the paddle party, in this case it was the church, which has their gambling license. They are also held at fire stations, Veterans that fly service members to wherever they need to be, libraries, ect. It is a lot of fun, especially if you go with friends, but you can also make new friends! Best of all, it's always for a worthy cause!
