This is a great little beach, a bit pricey to get into if you don't have a membership or however it works. But it's intended to keep out of towners away, which it succeeds at for me from memorial day to labor day. It does have a faily wide beach, nice restrooms, and a great playground for kids with hibachi grills in place.

So nice to come here before memorial day when there is no charge. Bathrooms were open and very clean, beach was fairly quiet! They’re building what looks like to be a splash pad for kids too! Can’t wait to come back in the summer!

Nice beach. Only issue, plentiful oyster beds at low tide to stub your toes and scrape your feet. Bring water shoes.

I grew up in Guilford. I live in Branford now. Of course, I'm a little biased, but I still think Guilford is one of the most beautiful places there is, and I've lived all over the world. I literally hadn't been to Jacobs Beach since the early 90's. I lived on the West coast for years, and only returned about 3 years ago. Guilford has done an amazing job in upgrading this beach. It's gorgeous. It was a bit more rough around the edges when I was a kid. Guilford Park and Rec have managed to make it really really nice, without destroying the charm and character it always had. The actual beach area is so much nicer now because they groom the beach, so the sand is beautiful, but you can still collect shells with the kids. There's good bathrooms. Fresh water outside showers for cleaning off the salt and sand. Plenty of grassy areas, nice playground equipment, good parking, they sell fresh juice and lemonade, the Good Humour ice cream truck still makes stops there, and they rent kayaks now. There's also covered areas to get out of the sun, and a mini boardwalk area. It's really nice.

Jacob duh. ...no, idk, I tried Google searching it,, couldn't find anything. I'll ask a friend.
A pass for a non-Guilford resident is $70 I believe. It's worth it if you'll use it a couple times this year. Beach and facilties are clean. Playground, volleyball courts, grassy areas so all around a great beach for the area.
9 am. 11 am on Sundays.
If you show up late enough in the day, there's no charge. I live in Branford now, and we drove in around 5:30 in the evening. The people who collect the fee when you enter were gone. We were able to go right in, park, and we spent about an hour and a half there. It was a beautiful evening.
No, police patrol at night. It's not open 24 hours. The neighborhood takes that very seriously and if you are seen after hours you will be reported. The beach is bordered by many family homes. While public, it is a very "private" beach.
