I occasionally travel 40min to come here for lunch. South Indian food here Never disappoints. Here is a sample Rava dosa, Poori Bhaji and podi idly taken. Rava dosa is very crispy and perfectly roasted. Poori baaji is great. Coffee spot on! Do give it a try.

Not even good for one star! I’ve been there couple of times, food was ok, that’s why we stop in there today. Very terrible, no service, the two girls standing there, always on the phone, laughing each other. We ASKED for ice water or cold water, she said water is there, but there wasn’t any. After some time bring lukewarm water, UGH. Food has no quality at all. No hygiene at all. Trash bin was overflowing, bathroom was disgusting. I never ever recommend this place to anyone. I feel sick when I get home.

It was my visit to Udupi Bhavan, and it was awesome. We tried a couple of dishes, mainly South Indian, like Plain masala dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Uttapam, Curd Rice, Besi Belli Bhat, tamarind Rice. We also Methi Matar Malai, Potato Bonda, Dahi Vada, and Vegetable Cutlet. I visited this place on a recommendation from neighbors and friends. It took me a while to drive to Middle town, which is worth it. Compared to other Indian restaurants in CT presentation of food is not good, and it has self-service. Self Service means; first, you need to order at the counter and pick your drink. Also, once the order is ready, then you need to pick it up from the counter. Also, after having food, you need to pick all your disposable dishes and throw them in the garbage bin. Generally booking is not required for this place by if you are planning to visit during the weekend or on any holiday then take your proper time as I was on time but saw a couple of folks had to wait for dining. The person who was managing the counter was very humble and of welcoming attitude. Even he suggested that what we should try, which we don't much nowadays in restaurant industries. Overall pleasant experience and cost-effective and recommended if you wanted to try some good south Indian food.

Very close to Authentic Indian food. I could even say it was one of the best I had in CT. Yep, they are not into fancy presentation or such, but what else do you expect for such price. Come to Stamford or Darian and check the price if you are very much into fancy plating and great customer service, but food will be Americanized. Drove for an hour, all the way from Fairfield, and every bite was worth it. Indians who came straight to corporate US without seeing the other side would not know how blessed they are to get this kind of authentic food. You are on the other side of the world and you are in a small number. If restaurants start serving this kind of authentic food, they will only have to be at the mercy of the community where majority believes in saving $1 = saving 70 rs. So be grateful and dont forget to tip. 15% is minimum in USA. No ducks given if anyone felt offended! 😇
