I unfortunately had a pretty terrible experience with this company after they hired me to do some SEO work on their website and then ultimately refused to pay for my services. In January their employee Sara reached out to my small business which provides web development and SEO services to help them with a new site and to better compete in their field. Sara asked for a proposal of work to which I gave them and after review the company signed the contract and we began work. A few days later an email chain between myself, Sara, Victor and Andy was started and Victor was unclear about what "SEO" was and why it was needed. They decided they did not want to move forward with the work and even though we had a signed contract with a clear "3-month no cancelation" in place, I offered to forgo the contract if they would simply pay for the 2 hours I had already spent on a site audit and meetings with Sara walking her through a plan. Victor requested the work I had already done and I sent him the site audit and the invoice for 2 hours. After weeks of them not responding to emails I called to ask about the status of payment as I am just trying to be a reasonable small business owner to another local company. Victor told me they absolutely will not pay because what I did "would only take 5 minutes". For someone who needed an explanation on what SEO was in the first place I tried to explain to him that the time was spent fairly and it wasn't just the document I sent that had the suggested outline of work, but the meetings and time spent with Sara to go over everything. If this is the type of business they are running where they sign contracts and then refuse to pay for services rendered not only is it a sign of bad management, but ultimately really poor character. I would urge anyone to avoid working with this company.
