The reviews are right! I'm from the Midwest but was in town for work. My last day here I had some free time and decided to Google "coin shops". ARC was at the top of the list with glowing reviews. They couldn't have been more right! Frank is awesome. He was patient with me and answered all of my questions. His selection and prices are great. I had such a good experience that I wish I would've had another day or two to spend more money here. Truly a great shop. If you haven't visited American Rare Coin yet, you're really missing out.

My wife,my 5 year old boy and I went to rare coins to sell some silver coins.the owner frank gave us a very good price for what we had and on top of that.my son saw these model cars at the store and frank saw my sons eyes light up and instead of charging us for it he gave my son a model 74 elcamino.and it is by far his favorite toy.he tells everybody (you can look but can't touch)...so to frank and the people at rare coin..THANK YOU. You will always have my business.

In the past I have come to American Rare Coin to buy a little silver here and there and Frank has always treated me very well. Great selection, great prices ect. Today Frank helped me assess the value of a passed family member's estate (a process I was dreading). He was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and we were able to go through the boxes of coins I brought in in no time! I can’t recommend this establishment enough to buyers, sellers or even just to get things appriased. Thanks so much Frank!!

The reviews are legit.. The shop owner Frank, is one of the nicest most straight forward honest people I've ran into in a Collector and sales respect. Frank is very generous on his purchases and sales.. Where else I will ask you. "Can you find a red note 1928 2$ bill and he sold it to me for 2$.. this one not a one-of thing. He sold us Proof sets for 65% cheaper then we could order it Directly from the Mint.. Basically this place is a local gold mine (pun Intended). I highly recommend American Rare Coin and Frank!! Thankyou Frank!!

What mint and what grade?
hi trish thanks for looking into this. do you work at the local wells fargo
You would probably be better off calling them.
Sorry I'm not an employee. I'm sure the owner Frank Kuhn would be happy to answer that question. There are a couple types of appraisals. One for insurance reasons. And one for sale. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
American coin can help you, they are great people
Yes he is a great guy I highly recommend him.
no sorry we dont do them because they r to risky .
1¢. Philadelphia produced 3 Billion pennies that year. Not much appreciation to this point.
Yes
It all depends on what quality it is and if it's real. If you bring real silver or gold here you will be paid fair and square. The penny is not a rare metal but Frank likes to talk so stop in unless you're on drugs,no offense.
Go to American Rare Coin & Gold. Frank does a great job appraising coins, jewelry, gold etc
It's always about the condition. There are two varieties, copper - nickel, and silver. The copper - nickel up to $5.00 for ms65, if it's professionally graded higher than 65 the price can go up. MS70 is considered a perfect coin. The silver coin is $8.70 MS65.
