Great seafood restaurant for special occasions. We enjoyed the grilled octopus and shrimp cocktail appetizers. The octopus (~$32) was very tender and the shrimp were huge ($9 per shrimp). For entrees, we had the angry lobster (~$60 or $70) and the special of the day, which was grilled sea bass (~$44). For dessert, we were recommended the Galacticbourico which was very good. It's a warm flaky dough wrapped around creme with orange zest & served with ice cream. The service was excellent and provided nice recommendations. Would suggest being seated by a window as the back of the restaurant is quite dark. Since the food is very pricey, we couldn't come for just a quick lunch or something but if there is a birthday or celebration this is a good choice.

I had my birthday dinner here and it's also my first time dining in this restaurant. My family and I sat outside. The food is excellent, I ordered octopus and langoustines. You definitely get what you pay for.

We went to Varka Fishhouse for lunch on my birthday. My husband ordered an Irish coffee. We then ordered two lunch prix fixe. My husband ordered soup of the day, Greek Fisherman's Chowder, and I ordered spinach pie for the first course. We both ordered fish of the day with seasonal vegetables for the main course and Greek yogurt without honey for the dessert. My husband's soup was fine while I didn't enjoy the spinach pie as it seemed way overdone. For the main course, we expected vegetables along with the fish as written in the menu. However, we got risotto with corn and parley sprinkled on top. When we asked the waiter who served us that we thought it was seasonal vegetables on side as written in the menu, the waiter who sounded quite rude, told us that we were already told by him that we would be getting risotto on the side and that corn is a vegetable. However, neither my husband nor me remember him mentioning that. Finally, for the dessert, when the waiter was taking our order, he told we could take two different desserts, loukoumathes and Greek yogurt, so we could share. However, since neither my husband nor me eat fried food or even much of sweet stuff, we explicitly ordered Greek yogurt and without honey. He told us he would get honey on the side instead and we didn't bother with him. However, when the desserts were served, we received one Greek yogurt with honey and the other loukoumathes with side of honey. When we explained to the gentleman serving us that we ordered two Greek yogurts without honey, he went in and in sometime the waiter came dashing out with loukoumathes and Greek yogurt showing his notes saying that is what we ordered. After a haggle, we finally got served Greek yogurt without honey. This lunch was $85 and with tips it was a total of $100. For this price point, the service is just not acceptable. The waiters here seem so very rude and very unwelcoming. Wish we chose another place and had better experience.

Absolutely a 5 star restaurant. The food here is outstanding there is nothing bad on the menu. You have to trust me as we tried about 75% of it the other day

They have limited seating spread out well. No bar service. They test your temperature when you walk in. Don't go too early they will make you wait outside if your table isn't ready! Great Food!
Go have lunch or a drink, they will gladly help you with a gift card.
Gets crowded fast on Saturday you might get lucky with a seat
