I bought tickets to see one of my favorite artists play and when I was arrived I was rudely turned away because I'm not 21. Sure it's a bar but I bought the tickets months ago so that I could see them and it said nothing about having to be 21. There should have been a system in place for people underage to not drink, IE: wrist bands and Xs across the hands.

A great small venue that has great ambiance and a nice layout. There is a stage for shows and a bar right in the middle. The drinks aren't overpriced and there is seating at the bar and also in booths on the sides of the venue.

I goggled it, CA laws for Pepper spray regulations and it states size 2.5 oz. Or smaller to carry is legal and no bag checked at the doors but only visited this venue once.
I got lucky and parked half a block up from the bar. The neighborhood is a little rough, but if you park on El Cajón itself by the bar, there are two clubs with people standing outside so there shouldn't be any trouble. If you live close by, get dropped off by an Uber or Lyft or bus it there and Uber/Lyft home after hours.

All shows at Soda Bar are 21+ only unfortunately. However, the shows we present at venues such as House Of Blues, Irenic, Che Cafe, Queen Bee's are for all ages.
