Wow! What a sad experience I just had at the Clifton NJ movie theatre. Having not been to the movies in quite some time, my husband and I decided that we wanted to see Top Gun. After waiting in line for 15 minutes it turned out that I was in the wrong line (I missed the sign that said Premier Customers.....not like I would have known what this line was for because there was only one line when I arrived). When I got to the front of the line, I explained that I made a mistake. The manager (he said his name was Alex) said that he wouldn't serve me unless I got back in the correct line. Meanwhile, most of the customers were in the wrong line and they were all telling me not to worry about it and to go ahead with getting my tickets. The manager denied me service. He was rude and unprofessional. The customers were all apologizing to me because it was obvious how poorly I was treated. Needless to say I left and I won't be back. Thankfully, I don't live in the area and have no need to ever go to this theatre again! Shame on the management at AMC Clifton.

The most recent movie I’ve seen was Dr. Strange which I’m a fan of now the experience of being back at the movie theater is no longer the same not sure if it’s because a pandemic or just the lack of customer service from AMC staff the greeters don’t greet the snack area staff couldn’t even include my birthday credit or ask for assistance and lack of imagination from the AMC franchise the lack of attracting the movie goers the snacks are terrible and pricey rather bring my own the reclining electric chair not working came out with a bent neck, besides the movie the experience of being back was so bland but just my experience hopefully others enjoyed it. I will sit back in my own recliner, with real buttered popcorn and tasteful snacks ordering a movie from home.

I haven’t been here in years but I recently saw a movie and the experience was okay.. easy check in on the phone.. reserved seats.. bathrooms clean.. seats were okay.. nothing special about the theater that merits 4 stars.

Giving this place 3 stars for the simple fact that the seats were so small and crammed together that it made the experience unpleasant. Many theaters nowadays provide reclining seats with plenty of personal space so I am not sure why this place is stuck in the past with seating arrangements. This alone is enough for me to never come back. Besides that, the service was fast. The imax screen was crisp and clear. And the sound was perfect.
