I purchased an item that cost just under $6. I presented my Visa credit card to make the purchase to a woman with dark hair. Her facial features visually changed to a mean and unpleasant look. (I'd have been dead if her eyes could shoot daggers.) The purchase went downhill from there. She shoved her credit card machine at me and I tried tapping my card, but it wasn't taking the card. I asked if it was working and she just sat and glared at me. I tried it again, and asked if it worked and she asked me if my card could be tapped. I said yes, and again she just glared back without offering any help. I told her I would just use the chip insert and did so. The process was approved and she said nothing. I was waiting for my receipt, but she only glared back at me. I asked her for my receipt and she angrily grabbed the machine, did something, and it printed my receipt out which she handed to me and told me to have a great day!! I looked at her annoyingly and walked out of that shop not really knowing what her issue was with me other than she had to pay a fee for me to use my credit card? If that was the problem with her attitude, that's what most people carry these days. Not cash. I will never go to this store again, and will tell all my friends to boycott it as well. I've read other reviews on this store and see that rudeness has been mentioned a few times. On one occasion the store replied to someone's comment without professionalism, and with condescension. It's too bad people read these reviews after going into a place and not before.

This shop is amazing, they have a huge selection of curios, knick knacks, souvenirs but the highlight is the collection of jams, jellies, dips and seasonings. Inside the shop, they have a huge sampling section where you can try about 39 different flavors of their treats along with pretzel sticks. I was not going to buy anything initially but the sampling did its trick and I bought the lime cilantro ranch dressing and the hot pepper raspberry preserve, and also the vanilla cream souffle. Everything looks and smells delicious. This store is also famous for its hot sauces, but I gave it a pass. Definitely a highlight of the Leavenworth trip.

Excellent place for tasting marmalades, creams, spicy sauces and all kinds of goodies

This is a fun shop! Especially if you like hot sauce. They have a wild assortment of flame thrower peppery hot sauce for every insane appetite. Don't forget to look at all their other goodies. Bring your guests to this one for "taste testing".

Lots of people go in and out. The only thing I saw was the pretzels are in a bag. It still made ya worried if someone double dipped in the sample that's on the tables. They don't want you touching the jar but it's kinda hard not to when it isn't even opened.
