Great little hiking area. They have a giant parking area. They have separated areas for horse parking. Big open day use area for lunch or party events. The trial are split into groups, some just for walkin, some for horse riding, and some for biking. The Woodland trial is a fun and nice walk in the woods with a few open air views out side of the tree line. Happy hiking out there everyone.

Newest park in Hillsboro. Took the family to see what is was like. Just off of the parking lot there are bathrooms, bike racks, two picnic pavilions, and a grass area to let the kids play with a soccer ball or run around. Just at the beginning the pads are paved but they soon turn into gravel and packed earth. Roots here and there but easy walking in general. Beautifully designed trails. Easy to take a stroller with air filled tires like a Bob, but since the path is either gravel or well worn dirt I wouldn't suggest other style strollers like umbrella or anything like that. Bring a backpack, with snacks and water. There's benches here and there along the trails to sit down and take a rest, ofen at viewpoints. Some trails are shared with bikes and some with horses so keep an eye out on your surrounding so you don't get run over or step in something you don't want to.

Beautiful wooded walk through tree farm. Some beautiful views from trail, and from the country road leading to the park. Five mountain view from Iowa Hill Road. Trails are well maintained even in wet weather. Grades on the trails are gentle (road walk is steep). Parking can be a problem on busy weekend days. Cold weather closed the flush toilets. Porta potty was gross, overflowing, and unusable when we arrived. Don't count on trail privacy to solve that problem.

Great trails for running and pushing a Bob stroller. No stairs. Also good for low key mountain biking. Fresh water and toilets available. No dogs.

I am looking for a spot to travel to. So I am wondering do you reserve or is it public? Because this spot looks great!

The picnic shelters can be reserved ahead of time for your party. Otherwise, this is a public park and reservations are not needed. Please note that pets are not allowed.

There was a nice view of Mt St. Helens & Mt Adams on the Ammefu Trail, are there any plans to make a larger viewing area there so Mt Hood can also be viewed?
