Staff isn’t very friendly. I’ve called a couple of times now and was met with mild annoyance. At first I didn’t really mind or notice, we all have those days where being extra friendly can be tough, but after a few calls/a check up it became a pattern. I didn’t and don’t feel comfortable coming back. The initial vet visit was very rushed and sounded like a script. My cat had anxiety and is easily spooked, especially with it being her first vet visit with me. I informed them she may threaten aggressiveness but she’s never actually hurt me. She wasn’t aggressive during the exam, just frightened. I feel a lot of judgement was cast once I had let them know of her anxiety/aggressive tendencies. Which I understand to a degree, but you would think vets would be trained in handling spooked pets. The exam wasn’t thorough as I had to point out several things that should’ve been done by the doctor but weren’t. I assume they were busy or short staffed that day as many workers seemed frazzled and rushed. I do have to say that they trim nails very well and fast though, which was one of the only things I did like about this location. After some time I had some concerns with my cat again so I called to see if we could get her in for a check up, with a different vet this time, I was offered a same day appointment which was nice but I wasn’t able to get my cat in same day due to work, whoever was scheduling with me sounded irritated and judgmental when I asked if another day was possible. Overall just not very compassionate or patient with patients and their owners.

Great place to have your pets checked. One issue with my cat that other vets were unable to diagnose, was quicky identified and rectified. Great job

I’ve gone to many vets over the course of my life and Mukilteo Veterinary Hospital is BY FAR my favorite. We finally feel like we have found a vet “home” that we naturally feel comfortable at. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and more than accommodating to your pets needs. They even go out of their way to find coupons for the food they sell in their clinic. We’ve switched both our dog and cat to being their patients and don’t plan on going to anyone else unless we have to from moving too far. Dr. Schmees has been our vet at this clinic so far and we love her. Thanks Mukilteo Veterinary Hospital!
