Great place that's rightfully famous at Purdue. It's usually quite busy (which is a good sign!), but with a group of 3-5 people you'll be seated in no time and have quick, attentive counter service. Outdoor, sheltered seating is also available if you have a bigger group. The new "Hey Jay" burger (pictured) is perfect, but if that's not your style there's something for everyone here. If you're lucky enough to have Brooke as your waitress, you'll have a great experience.

Nostalgic Diner that has been there for almost 90 years. Great root beer and fantastic burgers! Like going back in time! It was so good, we went back for breakfast the next morning!

I really enjoyed my visit there. I was totally interested in the history of your restaurant. Had a wonderful server or waitress whatever the title is. I believe it was quarter pound beef burger I had with grilled onions and cheese. A order of French fries. And a root beer is amazing. My sandwich delicious and totally amazing. I bet I go back to Lafayette one more time before heading back home to Missouri. I see why your drive inn has been aired on the food channel.

Some Purdue alums recommended that I check this place out and oh boy, it did not disappoint! What's neat is that they were featured on Drivers, Dine-Ins, and Dives! The restaurant it's self is pretty cool since it's vintage and has the retro counter tops. But, it's a bit small and does not fit many people inside. But, they do have picnic tables out side. You can either scan the QR code or get a physical copy of the menu. I had the Bert burger, which is a 1/4 chopped steak, American cheese, 2 slices of bacon, lettuce, tomato, and miracle whip. Wow! It was so juicy and delicious! For my side, I had French fries and a Pepsi. The fries were cooked perfectly, were crispy, and seasoned well. Perfect for grabbing a bite to eat before a game or stopping in on your way through town. Overall, I had a great time and I will definitely be back soon! I really want to try everything on the menu.
