My family and I had a very nice time as usual at this park. We visited on a very hot day and to our surprise, the water misters were working! That was definitely a bonus as they'd not been working on any prior visits since the renovation in our experience. There's a lot to do including a skate park, basketball court, nature trails and the large playground.

Watkins Park has a nice Nature Center me and my niece learned a whole lot and the staff are very friendly had a wonderful time visiting a playground is awesome

This is a fabulous and a well designed park. Amenities Include a animated feature playground, a nice restroom, basketball court, tennis court, skate park, picnic shelter, baseball field, football/soccer field, bike/walking trail and a parking lot.

This playground is awesome! We had so much fun! Lots of space for shaded picnics, clean bathrooms right near by and great structures for all ages. We can't wait to come in the Summer to try out all the water features! Pro tip: your kids will love doing the scavenger hunt on the sign near the archway. We also stopped at the skate park on the way out to ride scooters. Such a blast!

They have picnic areas, and grills Benches and great play area for b the kids Nice play area for the big kids too Skate boarding,bike riding, basketball
I've seen birthday parties with moon bounces over by the pavilion, which has about 8 tables under it with two grills to the side of it. If anything like others, you may just need a permit. Check there website

It really depend on what area you're in...the trail is always shady, mid afternoon you can get some shade up on the playground area( there's sprinklers on alot of the equipment)mid evening is all shade. Hope that helps
