Nice people, but the customer service was pretty bad. I was driving through Portland and got a flat so I had the spare put on. I drove to this shop right at 8am when they opened to check out the damaged tire and they said it’d have to be replaced. I had already accepted that I was going to have to replace it so this wasn’t a big deal. Then the girl helping me tells me it might take up to a week to get the tire…then I ask if she recommends any other shops in the area…she couldn’t name any. Just really unhelpful. But it gets better. I take the car to a Les Schwab right after and they end up patching up the tire, not replacing it after all! Even better, they didn’t charge me a dime for the tire repair, completely free. Les Schwab will be my go to place from now on. Upset that Affordable Tire & Brakes turned me away over what would have taken 30 min to patch up.

Great experience every time in. Started buying my tires there and was not initially aware they did other maintenance and repairs. They lay out the maintenance needs without pressure and recommended a timetable to get them done and in what order. They are able to tell you what's needed without pressuring you to get things done that may be out of the budget. I've been a customer for over five years after skipping around to other shops.

These guys are absolutely awesome! We came in with a wreck of a car and a long road trip planned and didn’t have much time to fix things. They got everything fixed super quick and at a very reasonable price. They are so accommodating and friendly. They care about you not just the work. We successfully drove 20k miles without a hitch (with regular maintenance to their recommendation of course). They even helped us work out little issues along the way. They were the first we’d call if we had a question or a problem and they were so happy to help! They are now our regular mechanic even though we’ve moved 2 hours to the coast. These are people you can trust with your car!

Unbelievable service! This is what a succesful small business in Portland looks like. While waiting for my car to get done, I spoke to Heather (who is super awesome by the way). I found out that they are a family owned business for over 20 Years in Portland. They were honest, understanding and affordable. I can see why their businesses sustained for this many years.
