Camping, hiking, shooting, hunting, 4x4 OHV, fishing, archery, the list goes on. Not a great place for large RVs. No RV hookups. This is rugged terrain, so make sure your vehicle has good ground clearance and be ready to share the road with some serious 4x4 clubs. Dirtbikes are everywhere. Rangers are always around to make sure we are keeping the forest green and not leaving trash. Campfires are heavily regulated during the summer wildfire season, so bring a propane firepit, from what I understand propane is legal year round.

Gorgeous area! Loved the Wilson river, a bit frigid as it was early in the year but still had a relaxing and fun time

The forest is so beautiful! Unfortunately all the campgrounds were closed, so instead we found a big pull off by the river. Turned out we were camped by a natural spring! Even if you cant find a campground there still plenty of places to camp!

There are many dirt timber roads that could be used for casual biking. Avoid roads currently being used by logging trucks. These roads usually have signs posted.

Thnk you all!! Yes im very aware of the rules.. and usually pick up others trash as well. I cant stand that mentality. People destroy what they are out to enjoy!!! My biggest issue was permits and where to park. Lol.

Best place for seafood is actually in Bay City at Pacific Oyster restaurant. They also sell fresh seafood. Wed. they have all you can eat fish and on Friday... Which can get really busy... Is all you can eat oysters! You can also watch how they process oysters.
