Brought an Amazon return in for shipment. I walked up to the counter where there was a tape dispenser and began taping the printed label on the box. An older woman ripped the tape dispenser out of my hand and told me they don't provide tape. I offered to pay for the tape, she declined and began to finish taping my label on the box. She then told me they were going to start charging 1.00 per strip of tape and that tape was back ordered to April 2nd. Strange comment to make when I had just offered to pay for the tape. I asked her if she thought she was handling the situation properly, reminding her that I offered to pay for the tape and that she was being incredibly RUDE. She told me I wouldn't bring a package into the post office and ask them to stamp it for free. This was a false equivalency which i find hilarious considering postage stamps are currency, and the post office does supply packing materials for free. I eventually through the course of her rant realized that she was just a miserable person who hated her job and customers and wasn't able to be reasoned with. She didn't want me to pay for the tape. She wanted the argument and the emotional validation of being angry at the customers who came before me without labels taped to their packages. I'll be sure to notify amazon that perhaps this isn't the UPS store to refer customers to for returns.

I inadvertently ended up using this location because I shipped an item I sold to a person in Maine. They picked up their package at this location. In the meantime the package was damaged in transit (not the store’s fault) and I was in the process of trying to go through the insurance process to get the refund for the insurance coverage. In the meantime, the owner held the damage package there for me until it was sorted out. Something he didn’t have to do since I was not the one who actually used his store. This is the kind of small business mentality I love. Just helping people out when they need it. If you live in the Windham ME area and need to get something shipped, this is the place to do it. Your belongings will be in in good hands. Thanks again.

This store functions highly affectively in teamwork & communication. The ppl respectful and help people with disabilities. Very patient. Great communication and think outside the box. Generally don't say no but how also very welcoming and hospitable. I had a friend who worked for UPS up north. Moved to Florida. His employer there was arthrax. They specialize in hip and knee replacements. There doing dept was greatly troubled, now he uses ups skill to straighten and improve the service. This is the best ups store ever. Thanks!

UPS stores are franchises not owned by UPS. The Windham store has always delivered phenomenal service. They are excellent at problem solving and helping to make the shipment process as easy as possible. I've often arrived with missing information, yet they take that in stride and try to help find what is needed to complete the transaction. They are personable, intelligent and able to think on their feet which is harder to do in this pandemic environment when business has increased exponentially. I would highly recommend the Windham store and thank them - along with the incredible fleet of talented men and women at United Parcel Service with whom they work so closely - for helping assure packages make it to their destinations.

They probably do. If not, Staples office store down the street will. As will the library
