I have been a customer for the better part of the 10 years I've lived in Oregon. I've had service from one of their competitors, only because my address required it, and when we were house shopping, finding out that our prospective new house fell into Salem Electric territory was part of our decision making process. You get real people on the phone, local people, you can drive to their office locally & speak directly to an employee. They're considerate, professional and friendly. I've been a customer of much larger companies and experienced many power outages in my life, I can't remember ever having that be the case as a Salem Electric company customer. That's saying something, especially given the cold winters here. If you have a choice, go with Salem Electric over their competitors, hands down.

Power out in West Salem we saw a flash outside window and entire street looks like it lost power tonight about 10:00 pm
