It was a great experience. We did the early morning ride and purchased tickets for the outdoor area. We saw a great sunrise. In the way back , we did the last boat ride but purchased tickets for the commodore area. It was a bit more expensive than the morning but not much. It was a good choice since it was cold outside and the indoors provides a cold or hot beverage even alcohol and a snack. It is all included in the price. Crew in the morning and afternoon was great.

This was very spacious, airline-like seats, good view. The boat is slow at first, but speeds up quick after! Quick fun safe and luxurious ride! Love it ! We went from Long Beach to Avalon, on the jet cat express.

First time riding the Catalina Express. Even though we were running a little late our experience was great. I liked that there’s a parking garage. Feels secure. It was easy loading up. The attendants were all very helpful and had a great attitude. I didn’t know the boat had a little bar inside. That was pretty cool. We sat upstairs in the back. The edge seats getting lots of wind blown at your face so beware. The ride felt quick. My 1.5 year old enjoyed the ride. Would definitely recommend and do it again.

Amazing ride and cordial staff. Look for the larger leg space if you're in the bottom cabin. If you want to see everything, head upstairs for a fantastic view. There are light snacks for sale and plenty of bin space.

There is little to no security regarding baggage checking when boarding the boat. I'm sure most of those rules is so that they're not liable if you lose them or if they break. I don't know about the bottle of wine though as they did have signs that prohibited glass.

No, that offer ended in 2017. Hermosa hotel offers a package for $199.50 that gets you two rt boat tickets and 1 night lodging at the hotel for birthdays. I don't work there, it's just a good deal.

No you do not. However, once you are on the island it can be useful for things like bars and golf cart rentals
