I've been coming to this dental clinic for 7-8 years. I've never had a bad experience here. The reception staff, the hygienists, Dr. Dmitri, the student doctors--all have been very kind and professional. I saw a student doctor last week, who took the extra time to remove and reattach a loose crown, which normally would be a separate appointment, which I really appreciated. The practice is in high demand, however, so be aware that you need to schedule way in advance, especially for routine cleanings, check-ups, etc. If you decide this week that it's time to get your teeth cleaned and checked and you want to do it next week...this is probably not the practice for you.

This dental office represents "Emergency Dental Work" on its intial google search. However upon calling I found their customer service to be rude, inconsiderate, and misguided towards proper customer service. That encompasses not just me as a Caucasian woman but the women of color who have fought to be respected within similar phone calls. Women who fight with anxiety against men being in control with teeth, power, and privelage; as explained to me by various students and educators in life. It's a shame your automatic answer to dental work is rude. Your supervisor Lisa was understanding however, your first call was not.

The people there are amazing. I have no insurance and had a wizdom tooth dying in my mouth. Even with only 1 dentist in they managed to find time for me and get the tooth out quick. They were very nice and helpful during the whole experience. Less than $200 with no insurance was totally worth it.

I have been going to the Russell Street Dental Clinic for over 8 years. I love them. They have done a variety of dental procedures on me including removing my wisdom teeth, root canals and crowns, regular cleanings, night guards, and fillings. While they are a very busy office, they are always courteous and efficient. The hardest part about going here is calling them to make an appointment, the line is always busy. The prices are very reasonable, they use a sliding scale fee system. Since it's so reasonable, I've been able to pay out of pocket when I have been unemployed or lacking insurance so I haven't had a gap in care like I have with primary care. If you are in need, this is THE clinic to go to but be sure to treat them with the respect and kindness they deserve. I find people who complain about them expect free or immediate service. They are doing the best they can with what they have. We are lucky to have this affordable public dental health option.

Anyone can go there.
No
Actually there is 2 working full time Dentists at the Clinic. I would recommend going there anyways to see if they might take you and solve your dental needs if not I know for sure The Dr. at hand will know where to send you to take care of your present situation.
I.D. any kind of medical history you have current and past, proof of insurance if you have any. A smile and at least 10-15 mins to fill out the paperwork. Enjoy.
Don't know but they have a sliding scale that is income based. Most insurance plans are accepted
No. Only in some circumstances Medicaid. Which is different federal-state program.
Fillings tend to range from $155.00 and up to 287.00. Each filling depends upon how many surfaces that a tooth needs the dental work on. 1 surface, 2 even 3 or up to 4 surfaces on each tooth.
Yes they do! I just had partials made there and they do FANTASTIC work!
The big school by the water that Pam is referring to is the OHSU science building and it's on Moody Ave. I just was there yesterday to have oral surgery. Good interns there. Quick and easy.
