Went to this restaurant Saturday night with my husband, after not going for at least five years prior. We checked the reviews and slightly disregarded them because we weren’t concerned about the decor, and did see there were some concerns about the new management but just wanted some good seafood so figured it was worth a try (again). Upon arriving, we were seated at a lovely table overlooking the pond. The waiter rushed over without a warm greeting, but took our drink order and said they had some specials…and we could read them on the table card. He was very unfriendly and in a hurry during each of our encounters. We shared a Caesar salad that they kindly split for us, but the lettuce was soggy and tasteless. The bread basket was old and stale. After trying to flag down the waiter for a second glass of wine, the manager offered to get it, but ran off without recognizing my husband’s empty glass or offering him another drink. Okay, finally we would get the delicious piece of fish that was our reason for coming. They were out of the macadamia nut-crusted salmon special, so I ordered the seafood spaghetti on the spot. It was good, I enjoyed it, but the sea bass “special” was nothing “special”. The sides that both meals came with were wet green beans with pieces of roasted pepper, that was tasteless. The decor hasn’t been updated in at least 20 years, but worse than that is the unaccommodating service and the food that Jolly Fisherman has always been known for. Sorry to say I will not be returning.

The food is delicious and the waiting staff very attentive. Haven’t been here for over 9 years and the food tastes the same! Love the ambiance, views of the lake and the restaurant. If I wasn’t so far I’d come here more often!

Hidden entrance if you're not familiar with the place so be ready to stop. Valet is free but bring cash for tip. Pleasant hostess. We made reservations so we were seated right away. Beautiful view of the water. It's good for families, couples and groups. The magnum steak can feed two people lol its huge. We ordered skirt steak and magnum steak and had leftovers. Calamari was a little bit salty. Lychee martini was amazing! Really good stuff. 👍🏾 I just wish the lighting inside the restaurant was a little more dim but could be that we were there early. Double points for our waiter Carlos! I would tip him $50 if we could. He made us feel really special for our anniversary and took personal interest in us. 🥰🥰

It’s a good spot for seafood. The atmosphere inside is comfortable, you can get a good view of the pond if you sit by the windows. Their menu has a wide selection focused on seafood mostly. We tried the Broiled Alaskan King Crab, which was underwhelming for the price and it was way too salty. The roasted duckling was good and appealing, a bit sweet but good. The lamp chops were a bit dry for medium. The complimentary dessert and bread basket was delicious. The service was friendly but it was a little bit slow. Overall the food is it’s not bad, however the place is way to expensive for the food quality it offers.
