5 plus stars! We were between blue whale and humpback seasons so Captain Rick told us upon boarding that we might not find any whales. We finally found one Bryde's whale and were able to watch him/her for a few minutes. The highlight though was riding slowly through the waves surrounding by a pod of over 100 dolphins. I will never forget it. Thanks Captain Rick for making the trip so special- he has been doing this for 39 years and was still excited to find the whale! (PS- a tip for anyone who gets sea sick- the small boats are 10 times better than the large commercial whale watching boats and start taking bonine the night before your trip).

Family of four from the UK did this and it was the complete highlight for our California holiday. Captain Dan was great, really informative and dedicated to his mission to show us some great wildlife. We saw blue whales and dolphins. Unbelievable to see them up close. The boat ride is worth the money alone - great fun speeding out to sea. Can't recommend this enough. Thank you!!

Incredible tour! Captain Michael was so friendly and dedicated. We saw common and bottlenose dolphins, sea lions, and had a once in a lifetime experience watching a blue whale dive multiple times. Highlight of our anniversary trip

Cant say enough about how great the experience with Captain Rick and the Adventure Whale Watching crew was this morning! They give you snowmobile suits to keep you warm, but it was such a gorgeous day we didn’t need them. Our boat had 6 people in it so everyone got great views of everything, and we were even lucky enough to catch a blue whale cow and her (giant) calf! Highly recommend Adventure Whale Watching if you’re in the area and looking for an up-close experience with whales, dolphins, and California sea lions!

Questions & Answers

What tour time do you recommend to get the best possibility of seeing whales and/or dolphins? We will be going at the end of December.

Would a disabled person be able to get on and off the boat easily? Would love to take my mom this summer but she is disabled. She can still walk to an extent but typically boats aren't the easiest to access so any info would be much appreciated.

Hi Ashley, Thank you for reaching out to us. We can accommodate passengers with disabilities but it is recommended to reserve a private tour so that you can have the vessel to yourself. This will allow us the flexibility to accommodate any special requests to make sure that the disabled person and their family has the best experience possible. We are happy to assist disabled passengers on to and off of the vessel, but we do require advanced notice to ensure that we have staff members on hand who are physically capable of lifting the passenger. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you! Joann
