It used to be my favorite store for shopping, but not anymore. They really give you a HARD time when you return unused items without a receipt. The staff is not as friendly as before. It's sad to see that.

Marshalls is a good store, but the customer service in this location is terrible. The store manager named Nichole especially needs some custom service training to perform on her job here. She was very rude, and unprofessional. I wanted to return some brandnew stuff I bought from them still with all the tags on, but couldn't find the receipt. I was told that I couldn't return it without a receipt. I asked for a store credit but the request was turned down by Nichole, the store manager. She said it was Marshalls policy that you couldn't return the purchase without a receipt. I have been shopping here for more than 10 years, and it was never the case. They usually give me store credit without receipt. So I went to Marshalls website to confirm the store return policy. It clearly states on their website that "Returns without receipt will receive store credit only." Nichole, can you explain why you are not following the Marshalls policy here? I also went to the TJMaxx across the street to inquire about their return policy, as they are the same company. The store manager at the TJMaxx confirmed that I can return anytime without a receipt as a long as I still have the original tags attached to the item. She was really surprised to hear my experience at Marshalls. I would be careful buying things from this Marshalls. Shop at the TJMaxx across the street. You can get the same stuff there. They are essentially the same store but with much better customer service!
