Edit: adding a star because I did manage to find a decent overlook to the creek. Still, there really should have been trail markers of some kind, and it was all pretty underwhelming. The camping areas are well kept and well defined, and there's a good bath house. However, for a hiker just here for a day, this was a frustrating place to visit. For how nicely the camping areas are kept, it's surprising that the hiking trails are not very well marked at all. I downloaded a map and I checked the office to look at theirs too. However, though I hiked around following the trail as best as I could, I barely caught a glimpse of the falls. The one place I found to access the water was a crazy steep climb down onto a rock. I got halfway down before I realized that I might not be able to get back up if I kept going. There were no roots to hold onto at the second half of the climb down, so I would have to literally rock climb my way back up. Maybe someone more athletic or more brave than me could do it, but I got myself out of there while I still could. 😥 Feels like a waste of a trip.
