I have been at DMV offices from Maine, Texas, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and now New York. By far the team at the Tioga County DMV was the best! Rather than looking to find something wrong they looked to be helpful! My thank you to the entire team - they worked together as a team to help the customer!

The Owego DMV is the most unprofessional place I have ever seen in my life. I went for my road test and first they left me sitting outside in my car for over an hour then the instructor finally came up to my window and he was rude from the get go then he was rude to my father because he was my over 21 driver he implied that I drove there without a licensed driver when my dad had stepped away from the car because we had been waiting so long. But rather than see that he jumped to the conclusion that I broke the law and drove myself to my road test. Then he never asked to se my registration to my car that was covered in my 5 hour courses as documentation I would need to make sure was up to date because the instructor would have to look at it but he didn’t. Then I when we where pulling away from the curb I had to wait am day look over my shoulder twice because he wasn’t even looking at me. He did the same thing during my k turn he didn’t see me look over my shoulder but marked that I never looked when he was the one not paying attention then he wouldn’t let me finish my test and Parallel park. My cousin who failed the test three times for different reasons was allowed to finish his test and I hadn’t he same right. He failed based on him not playing attention and doing his job. Not to mention by him not letting me Parnell park I was denied the evaluation on that so when I take the test again I don’t know if need to work that or not. I took the day off work for this sorry excuse of test. I can tell you this I wot be taking my test again at owego I will be going to endicott I will not allow that instructor in my car and I don’t feel safe riding with him he is a danger and should not be an instructor. I am disappointed in the owego DMV for allowing such unprofessional behavior.

Come prepared. They were efficient at getting me done. In and out in under 25 minutes. Did I mention I had to make the reservation 2 months in advance? There's that. Blame Covid I guess. And YES, I'd go back. And while there's not much choice in that, everyone was friendly, but distant.

After an incident that happened in the office it is looking like there is no recourse or chain of command for this office. I had done everything in my power not to waste their time and be prepared. Followed protocol and even had the blessing of the gatekeeper for the line. Doesnt exactly make me want to go out of my way to give the local office the transaction fees they keep telling this community that they need and appreciate. Being ignored after the incident makes me feel even less so. Sad I had to go to another office and start over. However they were super nice, helped me, were able to do the transaction and actually followed through with their rules and procedures.
