The Barn in Zionsville

The venue was very different from a usual wedding venue. The problem was that they are not well prepared for situations. First, it was pouring when we arrived, the parking lot was full of mud and we had to walk quite a distance in the pouring rain in grass and mud to get to the Barn. They had staff with umbrellas but luckily we had brought our own. They should have had a golf cart or shuttle! Then, the couple asked to delay the ceremony so it could be held outside, which was beautiful, but the couple and guests had to walk through wet grass and mud to get under the big tree for the ceremony. No rug or runner to walk on. They sent young girls out to wipe down the wet chairs with little dish towels which only really brushed the rain off, not dried them while rain fell from the branches onto the quests. The bar was setup outside the barn under no covering and the rain was on and off for a while, so the bar, bartender and guests who wanted a drink got soaked. When we left to get back to our cars there was no lighting at all. If 1 of the quests didn't have a flashlight we would have been walking in very dark woods. Maybe a little more preparation, tents over the bar, lights on walkways, better parking and this would be a perfect place.

The Perfect place for a wedding! Not only is it gorgeous but the staff is amazing! We had 10 days to plan a wedding and they helped us in every way they could. They helped make my dream wedding come true!

My husband and I spent over a year planning our wedding, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit it completely changed our plans for April 2020. When we were told our event couldn't happen as planned, Sarah was so helpful in getting a new date set. Thankfully we found a date that worked for all of our vendors, which we have come to learn was a very lucky thing. As our new wedding date approached in August, Sarah continued to be supportive and helpful in making sure we could move forward with our date if at all possible. We made adjustments to ensure all safety precautions were in place, and Sarah had a wonderful plan for how the facilities and her staff would support that. The day of our wedding may have been a little rainy, but all of the staff at the Barn in Zionsville were so helpful. The Barn was well set up for us when we arrived, the Bridal Suite was well kept and comfortable, and the staff helped us with decorating our ceremony space and getting guests parked and seated. Our wedding day was spectacular, and we left feeling very well celebrated. The next few days are where I really want to thank and praise Sarah and her on site manager. The keys to one of our bridal party member's rental car were lost somewhere in the shuffle the night of our wedding. It took several days of calling and getting tow trucks out to the venue to try and get it towed. Sarah was understanding and as helpful as could be while our friends got the situation handled. We so appreciate this! We are so thankful to have worked with a venue who not only strive to give you the best experience possible, but also understand when things don't go according to plan (a necessity in 2020). Nice surrounding. Barn is so so. Set up bar outside weak. If you have elderly folks to far to walk. You would need to rent golf carts but they probably wouldn’t let you. Barely gave you enough time to unload your car. Very high priced but we didn’t let anything spoil the special day. Don’t use this barn. By the way you can tell an attorney wrote the contract. They need customer service training.
