Timothy's is a beautiful restaurant, but they clearly are not staffed for the number of reservations they are taking. We were able to make a reservation 2 hours before. We were seated right away but other than filling water noone came to our table for 30-45 minutes and only did when we flagged someone down. The server was kind, and we ordered everything right away. It took 20-30 minutes for drinks, another 15 for appetizers, the soup never came till requested when the meals came, and our second round of drinks came after the main dish. Sadly, the quality of the food was also lacking. The appetizers were very good and the dips were excellent. The whitefish was under seasoned but cooked perfectly. The salmon and shrimp were under seasoned and over cooked. Again, the problem seemed to be managerial and planning, as the wait staff was kind and competent and the chefs had to be overwhelmed by the number of customers. Our perception was that the amount of customers made it impossible for the talented chefs to keep up. We were there for 2.5 hours and it is expensive.

In general, the food was okay, and the service was great. We dined in on a Saturday evening and despite the business of the place, our waitress was very attentive. We ordered a cocktail and white wine. The wine was okay, but the cocktail had way too much alcohol in it. As a starter we shared the flash fried beets, which were pretty tasty. My wife got a Tomato soup with her Whitefish- the soup was not very flavorful and her fish was a bit overdone. I had the burger which I liked (it was also slightly cooked too much but that was okay) and the truffle frites were awesome. We also enjoyed our dessert- we got key lime merengue pie. All in all the food was decent but I expected a bit more given the price point.

Great experience. Service was exceptional particularly from John and manager Starla, and our server Meghan. Food was superb. Pics below we couldn’t wait to eat so partial food shots sorry. Very cool interior. Family friendly dining room and fun date spot in the bar area. Totally recommended!

We used to go to Timothy’s when it was back at Gordon Beach Inn. Since that time, we have visited the new location three times and have always been disappointed. We can’t figure out why people still think this place is good. But then again, we have kept trying as well. Unfortunately, for us, this was strike three. The charm of the old location and the original great food are both things of the past. Tiny portions smothered in an unnecessary medley of garnishes are on every plate. The fish was chewy and the steak was meager and cold. The server did not ask how everything was. Rather, he asked if he could take each of the plates away, which we had hardly touched. The interior design is a battlefield of relics left over from whatever lived there before and the acoustics are those of a packed stadium. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but at these prices, it seemed like it was time to say something. The Timothy’s of today seems to be a place resting on laurels of the past and counting on no one noticing. Go to Red Arrow Road House and enjoy an honestly great meal and splendid service.
