Trying to get our 2 year old daughter's pictures taken was a nightmare. I scheduled Three appointments, each time she freaked out and was in a bad mood. One of the employees called me to reschedule and I told them that my daughter is very unpredictable and you never know when she will be in a decent or great mood. The employee said "No problem just bring her in when she is in a good mood and we can get her in a take a few shots really quickly, because we DO TAKE walk-ins." So I did that and they turned us away even though there was nobody there waiting for pictures!

Went in for newborn pictures and was very disappointed and left with nothing. Very unprofessional and we were very rushed. I was informed by the staff that they only are slotted a 15 min time frame for each appointment, Which is crazy !!! They had no clue on poses or props to use . Room was cold and to bright not a good setting for a trying to keep a newborn warm and asleep. Would not recommend !!!

We have gotten holiday family photos taken at this JCPenney Portraits location for the past few years, and all of the photos have turned out beautifully. That's saying something, considering we have two young children-- one of whom does not enjoy smiling for the camera. The photographers have been good with getting our kids to come out of their shells and smile. Also, they're good at advising which backgrounds would look best with our clothing choices, and with creating poses that make nice-looking photos. I've repeatedly had people ask where we got our photos taken. I've found them to be reasonably priced, especially if I have a coupon code to use, and since we belong to their Perks Club. They do use a little bit of high-pressure sales tactics, but I go in expecting that. And, they can get super busy around the holidays, so plan ahead and try to get in early or during an off-time. I definitely recommend them!

Went in for our daughter's 3 month photos and had Natalie for the photographer. The photos are beautiful! She did a great job getting my baby to smile and picked out props and backgrounds to compliment her outfits. Prices are great so we will come back. They overbook so you will be rushed and have to wait. And don't expect to be too involved with the shoot, let the photographer do her thing.
