This property has been bought by hurricane racing tours. While the grand opening set for July 31 this year postponed, they are working out a few issues. I'm remaining optimistic on this one. They have also scheduled to reopen capitol dragway so these guys are on it!
With the current owners of the property probably not. The folks that last ran the track are developers and when they could not (or would agree) to the infrastructure to upgrade the surrounding roads and utilities they took the zoning board to court. Never heard of the final outcome but my guess is that they are just setting on the property and using it as a tax write-off.
