You are not a member. Do not pay for membership. I walk right by. I'm not stealing I have my receipt. Good.i noticed know they scan your receipt. I think it has to do with the reusable bags. Not to give credit to Walmart but to deter theft. But I hate it. I hate waiting in that line on the way out.
It's not a law or a requirement to show a receipt before exiting WalMart. You can walk right on through the exit doors without showing a receipt. The associate at the door could serve the customers better by being on a cash register helping people check out faster.
Its actually wrong for them to do that ..the recipe givin to you from the cashier is sufficient enough and they should not be allowed to look thru your bags like if you have stolen something how in the freaking world can you steal anything from the time you leave the register and walk up to the exit door to be harrassed
I dont mind, it doesn't take long.
Horrible it is a violation of our public right. I was already checked out at the register. I dont let them. They dont even do anything half the time but use their little highlighter to put a line on my reciept
They are just making sure you PAID. That’s it. It’s not a “major inconvenience” when it takes seconds of your time. Time that “long line” and I guarantee you are waiting no longer than one minute at worst. There’s so many people who do steal. It’s not “one or two” it’s a lot. People will steal when they realize they can. Checking that I simply have a receipt and put a highlighter through it? No problem. Grow up people! You also have the right not to shop anywhere and order online if you’re that twisted in your panties.
I don't have a problem with this. Not everything is about me. Am extra minute or less is no big deal.
They're trying to deter theft. Since they charge for durable bags, many people opt out of buying a bag. Leaving the store with a handful of purchases draws attention.
I honestly believe it can go without having to be double checked from the point of initial cashier's check stand , it really does make a person feel like they have stolen from the store , it is what it is whatever turns them on I suppose ......
I don't mind it. Unless there's a very long line and I am in a hurry like late for work or something, otherwise I will let them scan it. They do that to make sure everything is rung up because sometimes the cashiers mess up. A couple of times I have been sent back to pay for items on the bottom of the cart that they didn't ring up. Theft is a big problem in the area as well, that's why they aren't 24 hours anymore and so much dumb stuff like nail polish and ibuprofin is in a lock case now. These folks are just doing their jobs. So let them scan it. Say hello. Learn their names. They are human just like you.
