I like it alot, but go there for certain items not available at my usual food market. Can't do all of my shopping there due to higher prices. Personnel are all friendly & go out of their way to help.
I believe the meat department could use a little more variety, include more of the basic low-cost cuts of meat.
Pricing a bit high in some areas (ie: produce and bakery). I like that they have many of their own store products (some superior to brand names), but seems to come at a cost to the overall selection. They are a very well presented store, attractive, organized.
They scatter some products around so you never know if you seen all they have. There are often choke points to slow you down but the inexperienced shoppers easily block them and you simply can't get through - very annoying when you're in a hurry. Bagel quality varies among stores. Our usual store is fine, but I've been to another maybe a dozen times and each time the bagels were over baked and they'd skimped on the seeds.
The workers are supper friendly and I love the selection of organic foods.
One of the mangers is the most racist person in Pennsylvania I have ever met and it come with his anger. In Bethlehem the manager always turns and mutters go back to your country. Well hope he changes. Who would want to eat the food he serves. I would go there to but anything else BUT the food he serves. Why promote so much hate. Unfortunately he is the manager and nothing might change in this corporate store. It disgusts me how he can have that facade of a genuine person. The turn into a ruthless person. How can someone employee a person like that, let alone prote him to manager. I guess it’s normal to have racist people. I guess people think it’s okay to have that kind of opinion. Well I am just one customer with one voice. I hope these ideas people think is okay change. Wegmans might loose an enormous amount of revenue because of this. I would go to any other Wegmans EXCEPT Bethlehem Pennsylvania..meat.
