Coming down the face of the rock scramble is definitely not for the faint of heart. But it is doable and exhilarating for anyone with good hand-eye coordination and a decent sense of balance. There are a number of different trails at this Crag and it is advisable for both parties to download avenza maps and purchasing the Schawangunk trails ahead of time or a set of the rip-proof topographic maps so you can plot things out. Of course there would be some waiting involved if you split up. But splitting up wouldn't be a bad idea and May in fact be a great idea if you can coordinate your route
Yeah, I wouldn't recommend going down the scramble trail unless you're a decent climber. The orange trail leading down the back of the mountain is a much safer way down and offers some really great views of the woods
