They lied to us here by saying the wait was 0 minutes and was first come first serve while on the other hand when we arrived the wait was 40 mins and there were reservations

It probably was a zero minute wait when you called... and then you drove there and things had changed, as it was MLK Weekend. I made hibachi reservations on Wednesday for Saturday night and got an 8:30 seating. Plan ahead and remember you're not sitting in traffic, you are traffic bub.

That place is always pretty busy...pretty sure your supposed to make reservations
