I'm from California and visited Ada's store while visiting family. California is super regulated and is still having problems. Tennessee was more lax, but seems to not have the same problems as California. Ada's has hand sanitizers throughout the store, and the employees wear masks. Wearing a mask in the store is encouraged and requested, but nobody will force you to.
Much like the rest of the South, it's like it was in 2019. Go and enjoy it, and don't spend your life worrying about things you can't control.
