You can see everything in one day. It is a lot of walking, plan accordingly. Earlier the better.

we have been twice with a two year old. We spent about 5 hours each time but I am not sure that we have seen everything. I think 2 full days with children would be best way to see and experiencw it all. It is an amazing place and older children would definately need more time to explore it all. We purchased an annual pass and it is very inexpensive..
