They started up again this year. There was a SCCA time trial event earlier this summer I believe. Nelson's has been working on updating things so that SCCA & other organizations can hold the events there moving forward
Yes, as Owen said, SCCA held what they called Time Trials on June 29th. It was their first event there since the track got repaved. They had Novice, Intermediate, & Advanced Run Groups, doing Time Attack runs and Track Sprint runs, and a classroom session for Novices. The event counted toward the Great Lakes Division Time Trials Championship Series year-end points.
Yes...the new owner has done some major improvements to the facility. He has more plans in the works. The track is in beautiful condition. Just this past weekend they held a LEAN Track day with a 2 Hour and 4 Hour Endurance Races on Sunday for motorcycles. All day Saturday, August 17th, 2019, was a big Reunion Gathering for motorcycle racers and teams from the 70's and 80's. It was well attended and a great time was had by all. Nelson Ledges is alive and well. PLEASE help support this Legendary Track. ❤
^^ what Owen said :)
I don't think so.A private owner bought the place a few years back for private use.And just started to do some track day events ,car and motorcycle, a couple years ago open to the public.
