During summer, I would strongly recommend making a reservation. They are usually maxed out every night during the summer.
I've never had reservation anytime I've gone there. Of course I've never been on Friday or Saturday evening.
Highly recommend but you can try & eat at the bar as well.

They take reservations, which guarantee you a table. So recommended. That said, I've been there several times without a reservation and they have gotten me in, but as a single. One or 2 should work, but if you have a group, best to reserve.
