Hi Jenna, good perms depend on a number of variables some are beyond a stylists control like color history, sun exposure, and hair protein content and even photos of beautiful curls online that aren't perms leading to false expectations. With a through consultation, skill at application and high quality products, our perms come out with body and curl as expected. Perms aren't for everyone and they can damage hair, so while we have several clients that we do perms for approximately 4-6 per month, we often times recommend not to get one based on the initial free consultation. If we think it wont turn out, we don't want to waste our guests time and money or risk their hair, if we are unsure, we do a hair strand test. I hope this helps. Have a wonderful day
