You have to pay at entrance.
It goes by the car load. Trucks and vans are more.
The entrance fee pays for park maintenance, therefore it is not free. Monday through Friday the cost is $2 per Maryland car and $4 per out-of-state vehicle. On weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as well as holidays, the cost is $4 per Maryland resident and $6 per out-of-state resident. Veterans and active duty military are admitted for free.
We’ve been going there to swim for years, in the past it’s been free on weekdays because there’s nobody at the gate, and either $5 or $7 a car on the weekend. We’re going tomorrow so I called today to check and the lady said it’s $4 a car on weekdays for out of state residents, so we will see what happens tomorrow. I’ll update my answer if it’s wrong
This is a lake to spend a good weekend with the family cooling off
Much does it cost
Nothing to swim and we didn't pay at gate only if your camping you do know they have golf courses, and casino
You cab swim at the state park I think there is an entry fee for that.
On weekdays its $2 per car if you live in Maryland (Maryland Tag). It's $5 if you live out of state. On weekends its very crowded so to try to control that its $6 per person. This is what I was told by the person working the booth.
