When I was there the visitors center was open. It's not at the entrance of the park it's on the opposite side of the road a little farther down
There is no timeline for completion at the moment when it closed we were told here locally it would take less than a year, according to the local paper there were issues with the contractor that have delayed things. They are currently using the stewart county visitors center right down the highway from the park. I believe they are still offering the same programs and tours from that location
