You would not be able to camp there on a weekend except I believe if you are an Eagle Scout and if there is a site available. I do believe you may be able to camp during the week. You would need to inquire with the Ranger, if you go to the Scout Shop in the main lot they can track down the Ranger.
I don't think you can camp there overnight without being asked out. You can however go Catch and Release fish at one of their Lakes by purchasing a permit for the day at the scout store. Also you can hike through the grounds as it is a private public easement, it is a very pretty getaway in the middle of the city.
