If I were looking to pair a wine with Bamontes’ Veal scaloppini Marsala with sautéd mushrooms dish should I be looking down the more traditional route of choosing a lush merlot for the accompanying plum, black cherry, and caramel flavoring?

Merlot isn't traditionally a Veal pairing. Bamonte's should have a bottle of Gallo (Sanoma signature series, 2006 vintage. I'd recommend this - a fine full bodied Zinfandel that should nicely complement the heartiness of the dish.

Will hit the nail on the head. But bamontes is a genuinely high quality eatery. Ask them to advise you. You won't be disappointed

I've been there more than once and I can tell you it is a good old fashioned Italian restaurant. I have the opportunity to meet the chef and ask some question about some dishes and they are very very good at what I do I highly recommend a and they have all type of wine selection that you can think of
