I purchased tickets for Wednesday night, April 11. Tickets say "preview". Is this the same as the actual play? Hope so as I am bringing 3 guests!

If it's the preview for Buddy then it is pretty much the actual play being presented only the tickets are less expensive because it's a dress rehearsal. Georgia Ensemble theaters dress rehearsals mimic the actual play.

That might be the dress rehearsal if its the first showing of a new play. It usually is as good as any production.

Previews are full runs of the show. But the show is being worked to its final version that will be performed opening night till close. In previews, the play is performed in its entirety and tweaks to dialogue, blocking. Lighting etc. are implemented after the performance for the next preview.
