I am planning a small baby shower, about 6-7 of us and I wanted to do a "brunch" and then go back to the mommies house for presents, is this place too casual for this type of event/party?

It's a great place for the occasion, the service is up to par and the menu is good. I suggest you speak to the restaurant coordinator and ask if it's done before.

Too not right. They offer a lot of alcohol and as a pregnant woman you shouldn't be drinking. It will tease mom. Lol
