Do you have to make an appt for intake? How much to start? If you transfer from another clinic do you have to pay initial fee? Are there any clinics nearby with a grant for free methadone

So if they dont wave the intake fee how much is it to get started?

1.) I'd call them Monday morning & ask about the appt for intake just incase (if I'm not mistaken, I do believe you do have to have an appt because the Dr is only in on certain days & you do intake on 2 days: 1st day is just majority of paperwork, checking symptoms & stuff like that, 2nd day you get to dose; unless that's changed). 2.)It's like $98 a week if you're self pay. They do take insurance, but I'm not sure what kinds. 3.)They *may* wave the fee if you're transferring, and you only just have to pay for the 1st weeks doses ($98 if you're self pay). Call to be sure, though. 4.)I dont think there are any that do grants for free MMT, in the commonwealth of Virginia... but I could be wrong. If you plan on transferring to ARS (Winchester), it's a great place, in my experience and opinion. They have some of the best counselors I've had the chance to meet with, as well as nurses; the staff as a whole are great people.
